I can’t believe I did this… but I totally bought about 40 antique plates from Goodwill the other day! They are GORGEOUS and in great condition and there are all sorts of different patterns and colors. They’ll be perfect for my wedding reception.
I’ll have pictures up ASAP!
Cuuuute! I LOVE this! This is what I was talking about with the whole “rummaging” thing. Old suitcases could double as a card box for your big day!
This idea came from ThePaperedElephant’s store on Etsy.com.
I’ve been rummaging through my grandmothers old stuff to see what treasures I can find. She was a big fan of canning (like vegetables and stuff) and so I found TONS of mason jars in the attic I’m going to use for table centerpieces. I’m also going to use mismatched antique china instead of having to match every piece—- cheaper!
When it’s your time to start searching- do some rummaging! See if your Grammy Kate or Aunt Mildred mind you rummaging through their stuff to see what you can “borrow” for your big day! Trust me, it will be well worth it and they’ll LOVE to be a part of it.
My nana and grampa on their wedding day. My nana died this past July. Wasn’t she a doll?
I found this “old wheel” for sale on Etsy. Etsy is FULL of little treasure that will make your wedding unique and fun! Paintings, sculptures, flowers, clothing, etc!
If you listen to any of my advice, listen to this… check out ETSY for unique ideas for your wedding!
Hey everyone. I know it’s been awhile. Shame on me for being lazy!
As my own relationship is getting closer and closer to that “I do” moment, I’ve been thinking more and more about my own wedding plans. My thoughts are constantly on dresses, venues, flowers, guests, etc.
I promise all of you that I will be posting much more than I have been!
The Beehive.
Anyone out there from Boston? Located in Boston’s South End, the Beehive is a must-see Bohemian venue with delicious food and plenty of space for a fabulous wedding and ceremony.
I’ve seen some unique venues, but this one is just gorgeous. I wouldn’t settle for an indoor wedding venue unless it was completely fabulous, and this one definitely meets my standards!
Take a virtual tour of the venue here!

I don’t know what my obsession is with teacups, but this is another adorable piece for a vintage-theme wedding. The colors are amazing.
What do you think about a “tea party” wedding?
I can’t promise anything, but tell me in my ask box where you are and what type of venue you’re looking for and maybe I can help!
